Striker Peter Crouch limped off with a hamstring injury in midweek and is a doubt but on the flip side, Stoke captain Ryan Shawcross is available after serving his suspension against Sheffield Wednesday. Mame Mbiram Diouf, who missed the League Cup tie to attend the birth of his child, will be available for selection. As for Manchester City, Eliaquim Mangala is banned, with Fernando (knock) and Jesus Navas (ankle) doubtful. Captain Vincent Kompany (calf) and Pablo Zabaleta (knee) are out of Saturday’s match and it remains to be seen whether Sergio Aguero (heel) and Joe Hart (hamstring) will be risked.

Antonio Valencia (foot) and Luke Shaw (leg) remain sidelined. Defender Marcos Rojo is reportedly set for a lengthy spell away after picking up a shoulder injury in training. Marouane Fellaini could be restored to the matchday squad after playing the full 90 minutes for the Under-21s in a 3-2 win over Liverpool on Monday, in which he scored.

West Ham are without Diafra Sakho (thigh), along with Enner Valencia (foot) and Dimitri Payet (ankle). Bilic is able to welcome back club captain Mark Noble, however, after he was banned for the 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion last time out.

Chelsea are poised to welcome back a handful of first-team stars, most notably goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who is on track to return to the first team following knee surgery and could be involved when Eddie Howe’s men visit Stamford Bridge. Captain John Terry has shaken off an ankle problem and is expected to feature. Ramires and Radamel Falcao expect to return from muscular injuries and striker Loic Remy is available again after missing last week’s 0-0 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.

Bournemouth have something of a goalkeeper crisis ahead of the match, with Artur Boruc and Adam Federici having both visited a specialist to examine respective knee and ankle problems. Ryan Allsop would start against Chelsea if neither were available, while 18-year-old Jordan Holmes has been recalled from a loan deal at Weymouth as extra cover. Harry Arter (hamstring) is a doubt, along with Lee Tomlin (groin) and Marc Pugh (calf). Tommy Elphick (ankle), Christian Atsu (shin), Tyrone Mings, Max Gradel and Callum Wilson (all knee) remain sidelined.
